Is Callin therapy?
No. Callin is a non-clinical peer emotional support service. Our listeners are trained in active listening and compassionate presence, but they are not therapists, counsellors, or mental health professionals. If you need clinical support, we encourage you to speak with your GP or explore NHS talking therapies alongside using Callin.
How quickly can I book a session?
Most people are able to book a session within a few hours. We offer availability in the evenings and at weekends, so you are not limited to standard working hours. Your first 20-minute session is free and requires no card details.
Who are the listeners?
Callin listeners are carefully selected and trained individuals from a range of backgrounds. They complete an active listening training programme and ongoing supervision to ensure consistently compassionate, skilled support. They are warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to your wellbeing.
Is everything confidential?
Yes. Your conversations are treated with strict confidentiality. Callin is GDPR compliant, and we do not share your information with third parties, your employer, or any other services. The only exception is if a listener believes there is a serious and immediate risk to your safety or someone else's, in which case they are obligated to seek appropriate help.
How much does it cost?
Your first session is completely free. After that, sessions start from £32 for 60 minutes, rising to £62 for 120 minutes. A monthly membership offering 5 hours of support is available for £120, representing the best value for those who want regular, ongoing connection. All prices are in GBP with no hidden fees.
Can I book sessions outside working hours?
Yes, absolutely. Callin is designed with busy people in mind. We have listener availability on evenings, weekends, and early mornings. Support should not have to compete with your working day.
Do you support remote workers specifically?
Yes. Loneliness, overwork, and the blurring of personal and professional boundaries are among the most common themes our remote-working clients raise. Callin is a genuinely helpful space for those navigating the specific emotional landscape of working from home.
Can I use Zoom?
Yes. Sessions take place via Google Meet or Zoom, whichever you prefer. You will receive a link after booking. No software downloads are required for Google Meet. Both platforms are secure and widely accessible.
What if I am not sure what to say?
That is perfectly fine. You do not need to arrive prepared. Your listener will gently hold the space and allow you to find your own way in. Many people start by saying exactly that: they are not sure where to begin. That is always a good enough place to start.
Is Callin suitable for someone experiencing burnout?
Yes. Burnout is one of the most common reasons people come to Callin, particularly among professionals, founders, and carers. Our listeners understand the particular exhaustion and disconnection that burnout brings, and they are skilled at holding space for it without adding to your load.
